  1. 1Birmingham Small Arms a British company producing motorcycles. It originally made weapons but began making motorcycles in the early 20th century. In the middle of the 20th century BSA motorcycles were popular all around the world, but by the 1960s they were less successful than Japanese ones, and no more were made after 1971.
