(1892-1964) a US writer of popular songs with clever words for Broadway musical shows and Hollywood films. His shows included Anything Goes (1934) and Kiss Me, Kate (1948), and his films included High Society (1956). Among his best-known songs are Let's Do It (1928), I Get A Kick Out of You (1934), Night and Day (1932), Begin the Beguine (1935) and True Love (1956).
