a British magazine published each week, originally by the company that owned The Times, and originally in a newspaper design. Until 2008 it was known as the Times Higher Education Supplement. It is similar to the Times Educational Supplement but it is for teachers and other people involved in higher education (= education at colleges and universities rather than at schools). It was first published in 1971.
