a US hard rock band, formed in 1986. They were especially popular until the mid 1990s and became known for the violent words of some of their songs. Their albums have included Appetite for Destruction (1987) and Use Your Illusion I and II (1991). The singer, Axl Rose, is the only remaining original member of the band.
