a lively song written by George M Cohan to praise US soldiers serving abroad in World War I. He wrote it on 6 April 1917, the day on which the US entered the war, and it includes the words: ‚The Yanks are coming! And we won't come home ‘til it's over over there.‘ The song was also popular during World War II.
