a member of a group of Native American people who live in the US states of Arizona and New Mexico Culture The groups include the Hopi and the Zuñi. They are descended from the Anasazi people who lived in cliff houses, some of which can be seen in the Mesa Verde National Park. They now live in communities called pueblos and build their houses of dried clay, called adobe.
