a British political organization formed in 1997 which campaigns for people living in country areas. It is best known for its campaign against the law banning fox hunting (= a sport in which foxes are hunted by dogs and by people on horses) but it also campaigns on issues which affect farmers and against the closing of services such as post offices in country areas.
