(in the US) the oldest and best known of the college football bowl games. It is played on New Year's Day (or the Monday after it if New Year's Day is a Sunday) in Pasadena, California, in the Rose Bowl stadium, which has over 90 000 seats. The game was first played in 1902 and it follows the Rose Bowl Parade, in which many vehicles decorated with flowers take part.
