  1. a former British magazine that consisted entirely of advertisements, mostly put in by individual people or small businesses. It was published every week and was started in 1868. In 2009 the magazine stopped being published, and now the advertisements, mainly for cars and other vehicles, only appear on the Exchange and Mart website.
