- (1756-1823) a Scottish painter. He worked in Edinburgh and produced many pictures of important Scottish figures of the time, often in Highland dress. His best-known painting is probably The Reverend Robert Walker Skating on Duddington Loch (1784). He was made a knight in 1822.
