Jack Kevorkian

- (1928-2011) a US doctor who was famous for his support for people's 'right to die'. Between 1990 and 1998 he helped over 100 people to kill themselves, using one of his 'assisted-suicide machines'. The state of Michigan put Kevorkian on trial many times without success but in 1999 he was found guilty of murder and was sent to prison.
