King's Cross

- an area of central London, that contains two large train stations (King's Cross and St Pancras) and a station on the London Underground. A fire at the underground station in 1987 killed 31 people and led to attempts to improve safety generally on the London Underground. A rail link for the Channel Tunnel opened at St Pancras in 2007.
