Mack Sennett

- (1880-1960) a US producer and director of silent comedy films, born in Canada. He established the Keystone Company in 1912 and made the first long comedy, Tilly's Punctured Romance (1914). Sennett created the Keystone Kops and brought Charlie Chaplin to Hollywood. He received a special Oscar in 1937.
