- a very popular US comic strip which has also appeared in many newspapers all over the world. It was drawn by Charles Schulz (1922-2000) and was first published in 1950. It is about children who talk like adults, and the characters include Charlie Brown, his dog Snoopy, his aggressive friend Lucy and her nervous little brother Linus.
