    CultureIn the UK, the shipping forecast is prepared by the Meteorological Office for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and broadcast four times a day on BBC Radio 4. The seas around the British Isles and northern and western Europe are divided into 31 sea areas, and information is given on the speed of the wind and how far it is possible to see in each area. There are also reports from coastal stations, and a forecast for inshore waters.
