Stoke-on-Trent

- an industrial city on the River Trent in Staffordshire, England. It was formed in 1910 when the Six Towns combined, and is the main centre of the Potteries. Most of the famous Staffordshire pottery companies have or had their factories in Stoke-on-Trent.
