- a popular and successful film (1996), directed by Anthony Minghella. It is set mainly in the Second World War, and is about a dying Hungarian man who remembers a love affair he had with an English woman. The film was based on a book of the same name (1991) by Michael Ondaatje, and won seven Oscars. The main actors are Ralph Fiennes, Juliette Binoche and Kristin Scott Thomas.
