  1. a series of US space flights (1963-66) with two men in each. During the Gemini flights astronauts made space 'walks' and brought two spacecraft together in space for the first time. This was a preparation for the Apollo program, and one of the Gemini astronauts was Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon.
