- a popular British television programme about art, music, literature, etc. It was presented by Melvyn Bragg and broadcast on Sunday evenings from 1978 to 2010. Since 2012 it has been shown on Sky Arts. The programmes sometimes include reports and comments on several different artists or artistic events, but usually the show deals with one particular artist or topic.
