  1. the name given by US soldiers during the Second World War to Iva Ikuko Toguri d'Aquino. She was an American citizen who broadcast on a Japanese radio programme telling US soldiers to refuse to fight. After the war, she was sent to a US prison until 1956, and President Ford gave her a pardon (= official notice forgiving somebody) in 1977.
