- two characters, a man and his dog, who appear in the short animated films made by Nick Park. In the first film, A Grand Day Out (1989), Wallace builds a rocket and takes Gromit to the moon. Two later films, The Wrong Trousers (1993) and A Close Shave (1995), both won Oscars.
