  1. a US pop group, formed in 1974, with Deborah Harry as singer. Their most successful records include Heart of Glass (1978), Call Me (1980), The Tide Is High (1980) and, more recently, Fun (2017).
  2. a popular US comic strip which first appeared in 1930. The main characters are clever Blondie and her often confused husband, Dagwood Bumstead. The characters have also been used for radio and television programmes and for a series of films.
