  1. a pair of young US criminals, Bonnie Parker (1911-34) and Clyde Barrow (1909-34). They met in 1932 and robbed banks and murdered 12 people in the south-western US before being shot dead by police in Louisiana. Their story was made romantic in the film Bonnie and Clyde (1967) with Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty in the main parts.
