- a US make of coloured pencils, crayons (= sticks of soft coloured wax) and pens which have been popular with children for many years and are sold in boxes of different sizes in many countries. Binney & Smith (now Crayola LLC) of Easton, Pennsylvania, have produced the coloured crayons since 1903.
