- a magazine aimed at men that contains articles on fashion, sport, sex, health and other subjects. The letters GQ stand for Gentlemen's Quarterly, which was the former title of the magazine. It appears every month and was first published in the US in 1931 as Apparel Arts. The British edition first appeared in 1988. GQ is also published in several other countries across the world.
