John Hancock Center

- one of the tallest and most impressive buildings in the US, opened in 1969. It is in Chicago on North Michigan Avenue. The building is of black steel, and the outside has lengths of steel that cross to support it. It is 1 127 feet/344 metres high and has 100 floors. There is a Skydeck Observatory on the 94th floor.
