- (1785-1828) an English author and the wife of William Lamb, who later became the British Prime Minister Lord Melbourne. She is best known for her love affair with the poet Lord Byron, whom she described as 'mad, bad and dangerous to know', and who was the model for the main character in her novel Glenarvon (1816).
