Marie Lloyd
/ˌmɑːri ˈlɔɪd/
/ˌmæri ˈlɔɪd/
- (1870-1922) one of the most popular of all English music hall performers. She was famous for her cockney humour and for comic songs, such as A Little of What You Fancy Does You Good and Oh, Mr Porter, which shocked some people because they often referred to sex, though in a humorous way.
