    Word OriginThe expression was apparently first used in 2006 on the social media platform Myspace by US activist Tarana Burke, and was popularized in 2017 by a tweet from the actor Alyssa Milano: ‘If you've been sexually harassed or assaulted write “me too” as a reply to this tweet.’
