Milford Haven
/ˌmɪlfəd ˈheɪvn/
/ˌmɪlfərd ˈheɪvn/
- a town on the south-west coast of Wales. It has a natural harbour and for many centuries was the place from which English armies crossed the Irish Sea to Ireland. In the second half of the 20th century it became a port for oil because the deep waters there made it suitable for very large ships transporting oil.
