Mississippi

- a southern US state, also called the Magnolia State. Jackson is the largest city and also the capital. Mississippi became a state in 1817 and was one of the Confederate States. Its main product is cotton, but other crops include corn, soya beans, peanuts and rice. Tourists can visit the Vicksburg National Military Park and the historical buildings at Natchez.
