  1. Ozzie Nelson (1906-75) and his wife Harriet Nelson (1914-94), a popular couple on US radio and television. They used their real names and the names of their sons, Ricky Nelson and David Nelson, as characters in their comedy series about family life, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet (1952-66). The Nelsons were regarded by many Americans as the perfect family because they appeared so happy and pleasant.
