Red Nose Day

- (in Britain) a day of events and activities organized every two years by Comic Relief to collect money for charity. Performances by famous comedians are shown on television, and people do silly or humorous things to raise money. Some people also buy and wear red noses to show their support. The first Red Nose Day was in 1988.
