  1. an English company that started making china of high quality in the 18th century. Its original factory was in the city of Worcester. Production was later moved to Stoke-on-Trent and in 2009 the company stopped trading. The brand was bought by the Portmeirion Group, also producers of china, and products continue to be made and sold under the Royal Worcester name.
