  1. a church in central London, designed by Christopher Wren in 1682 at a place where a group of Danes are thought to have settled in the 9th century. It was partly destroyed by bombs in the Second World War and was built again as a special church of the Royal Air Force. It is probably the church mentioned in the children's song Oranges and Lemons, although there is another church called St Clement's in Eastcheap, London.
