  1. a famous street in Hollywood, also called 'the Strip' or 'Sunset Strip', where many early film companies had their offices. Charlie Chaplin also lived there. The Boulevard now has shops and restaurants as well as businesses. Sunset Boulevard was the title of a famous film (1950) about an old film star, and of a musical (1994) based on it by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
