)- two battles of the American Civil War, both won by the South. They were fought near Bull Run Creek at Manassas Junction, Virginia. The first, on 21 July 1861, was the first major battle of the war. The second was on 29-30 August 1862. The area can now be visited in the Manassas National Battlefield Park.
