the Mary Rose

/ðə ˌmeri ˈrəʊz/
- a ship built for King Henry VIII in 1509-10 which sank off the south coast of England in 1545 and was brought up from the bottom of the sea in 1982. It can now be seen in a special museum in Portsmouth.
