the Millennium Stadium

- a large sports stadium in Cardiff which opened in 1999. It is where many important British sports events, especially football and rugby matches, are held, as well as events such as pop concerts. The stadium has seats for 74 500 people and a roof which can be opened and closed. Since 2016 it has been called the Principality Stadium.
