- an area of Docklands in London. It was known especially as the former British base of the newspaper company owned by Rupert Murdoch that used to be called News International. When the company moved there in 1986 there was a conflict with trade union members about the introduction of the new computer technology. Luxury accommodation has now been built on the site.
