Withnail and I
/ˌwɪðneɪl ənd ˈaɪ/
/ˌwɪðneɪl ənd ˈaɪ/
- a British comedy film (1986) about two young actors in the 1960s. They have no work, and spend most of their money on drink and drugs. When they leave London to spend some time in a small house in the Lake District, much of the humour comes from the difference between their attitudes and behaviour and those of the people they meet in the countryside.
