- David Oliver Selznick (1902-65) a successful US film producer. His films included King Kong for RKO and Anna Karenina (1935) for MGM. After forming his own company, Selznick International Pictures, in 1936, he produced A Star is Born, Gone with the Wind and Rebecca (1940). The last two won Oscars as Best Picture.
