Doc Holliday

- (1852-87) a dentist who gambled and often fought with guns in the American Wild West. He was born John Henry Holliday in Georgia and moved west in the 1870s for his health. He helped Wyatt Earp and his brothers in the famous gunfight at the OK Corral in Tombstone, Arizona, but died six years later of tuberculosis (= a disease of the lungs).
