- a north-eastern US state, also called the Buckeye State (and its people Buckeyes). The capital and largest city is Columbus. It is mainly an industrial state and produces steel, motor vehicles and parts, especially in Cleveland, as well as jet engines, tools and rubber products. Agricultural products include soya beans, corn, milk and grapes. Both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Pro Football Hall of Fame are in Ohio.
