Atlantic City

- a city on the coast in the American state of New Jersey. It is popular with tourists and contains many casinos (= gambling clubs) where people can gamble legally. The city has a famous Boardwalk (= a wide path made of wood) along the edge of the sea, and the names of some of its streets were used for the US version of the game Monopoly.
