- (c. 1848-89) a US outlaw (= criminal) in the Wild West. She was a friend of Jesse and Frank James and let outlaws stay at her home in Oklahoma. She was sent to prison for nine months in 1883 for stealing horses. Starr died after being shot by an unknown person.
